nms large refiner recipes
As any No Man's Sky player knows, farming is a main element of the game. Whether you just planet hop gathering materials or build massive farms, any path to victory is valid in these parts. But not everyone wants to spend all of their precious game time farming for basic stuff like Di-Hydrogen.
Many resources like Di-Hydrogen feature in basic recipes needs for your Starship (like launch fuel) or even for building parts. Here's how players can farm di-hydrogen or otherwise get it quickly in a min/max kind of strategy.
Where To Find Di-Hydrogen
Di-hydrogen is the orange and blue element of common rarity found on practically every planet players visit. They come in smaller blue crystals or very large blue ones that need an Advanced Mining Laser to attain.
All players have to do is visit any planet, find the blue crystals, and use your mining laser to extract them. Boom -- instant di-hydrogen in your inventory (provided you have available slots).
How To Farm Di-Hydrogen: Refining Method
Firstly, even the No Man's Sky wiki says that you can use the Refiner+40 di-hydrogen exploit to get free di-hydrogen. As with any exploit in any game, your mileage may vary there. Instead, opt for one of the two surefire methods to farm di-hydrogen.
Most players know that you can use di-hydrogen to refine di-hydrogen jelly; however, refining jelly back into di-hydrogen yields more than it takes to produce the jelly. Start with refining di-hydrogen into the jelly, craft it, or buy it off vendors at space stations and such.
- Crafting Ratio: 40 di-hydrogen to 1 di-hydrogen jelly
- Refining Ratio: 30 di-hydrogen to 1 di-hydrogen jelly
- General Cost Of Di-Hydrogen Jelly: ~200 Units
Step 1: Refine Di-Hydrogen Into Di-Hydrogen Jelly
Crafting the di-hydrogen jelly costs 10 more di-hydrogen, so just pop it into the refiner for a 30:1 ratio. Feel free to just start with one unit of the resource if you want to see the direct yield. If you're ready to jump right in, then pop in all the di-hydrogen you've got and let the refiner get to work.
Step 2: Refine The Jelly Back Into Di-Hydrogen
Once your jelly is refined, put the jelly into the left-hand refiner slot. The UI will tell you that it will produce di-hydrogen at a 1:50 ratio -- giving you back 20 more units of di-hydrogen than it cost to create the jelly.
Step 3: Repeat With Many Refiners
Now, all you have to do is repeat the process as much as you want. If you want to get really wild with it, make a bunch of refiners and have them all going at once.
Note: you do lose out on some Carbon using this method since it powers the Refiner.
